As a conclusion of my first period in the subject of Instructional Technology I can say that, from the very beginning, the name of the subject scared me because I don’t get along with computers; so, technology is not one of my field of interest. In the first activity with prezi, I felt worried although I had already used that tool before; but I did not know how to use it very well. At the end I did my prezi presentation and I felt relieved. With the activity called Wix, I felt frustrated because I had never heard of that tool before. Later, I felt calmer because teacher Vanessa explained the tool in a comprehensible manner. The teacher explained things in a practical way, step by step. She gave me confidence to enjoy how to use Wix. Later, the time to learn how to use another tool came and the teacher presented Ardora.

Ardora was a headache for me, I felt this tool was too complicated and at the end I had a lot of inconvenient using it; even though the teacher always tried to help I felt that I barely learn how to use it. My turn to present how to use a tool named Cacoo to my classmates came. I felt nervous and also tense when I was explaining how to use the tool and what they can do with it. Technology is a vast field; unfortunately, is not a field that catches my attention that is why I get frustrated when I do not understand something about tools.

The teacher plays an important role in the performance of the students in the class because she tries to explain the tools to be used in the simplest way, so that we can understand the tool. She is always willing to help us with any inconvenient that we have.



The last tool that the teacher explained is called Hot potatoes; I really liked this tool, I found it easy to learn how to use it. I learned a lot this period, different tools for so many purposes; definitely technology is part of teaching and is our responsibility to learn as much as we can in order to change the way we see education. This coming period will be more challenging but I hope to learn even more.
